About the Role
Richmond and Wandsworth Adult Social Services are seeking an experienced qualified Social Worker to join the Teddington and Twickenham Locality Team. The team includes 14 Social Workers, 4 Social Care Assessors, 2 Senior Social Workers, 2 Assistant Service Managers, and 1 Service Manager. The team is co-located with local District Nurses and Community Matrons across two bases in Teddington and Whitton.
In this role, you will carry out holistic assessments of individuals and carers, identifying needs, risks, and opportunities for independence. You will work collaboratively with residents, families, and partners using a strengths-based, person-centred approach. You will apply social work principles, professional curiosity, and anti-discriminatory practice throughout your work. Your support will help residents maximise independence, promote wellbeing, and prevent harm.

Experience
Post-qualification experience in Adult Social Care is essential. You should have a strong knowledge of relevant legislation and local authority duties, particularly around safeguarding.

Qualifications
A recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration are essential.
