Join Worldpay's ever-evolving Engineering team as a Software Engineer Specialist focused on Agentic Commerce and help shape the future of global commerce. You will be part of a greenfield team building the future of autonomous commerce, working at the intersection of AI integration, developer experience, and payment innovation. Your work will define how AI agents securely transact on behalf of consumers while shaping the standards powering the next generation of digital commerce.

You will design and build secure checkout APIs that AI agents can invoke reliably and deterministically, including support for UCP, ACP, AP2, Agentic Tokens, and MPP. You will integrate agentic payment capabilities across Global Payments platforms to enable seamless autonomous commerce experiences. Additionally, you will architect and deliver merchant-facing APIs and SDKs with clear contracts, predictable error handling, and excellent documentation.

Championing developer experience, you will improve discoverability, reduce time-to-first-transaction, and gather feedback from external developers to drive continuous improvement. Collaboration is key as you work closely with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to define technical requirements, participate in software design reviews, and contribute to API governance standards across the organization.

Experience
- Designing, developing, debugging, and enhancing scalable software applications and APIs
- Strong understanding of end-to-end software development life cycles, engineering standards, and modern development practices
- Proficiency in solutions design, systems architecture, and requirements definition
- Knowledge of distributed systems, API development, and integration patterns
- Familiarity with financial services, payments, or fintech technologies

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
