About the Role
Help shape high-quality support and build better outcomes for local children, young people and families. As our SEND Delivery Lead, you’ll play a central role in driving operational performance across our Special Educational Needs services in Kensington and Chelsea. This fixed term contract until July 2027 offers the opportunity to lead dedicated teams, raise standards and make a direct, lasting difference to the lives of young people and their families.
You will oversee day-to-day operations across our SEND and Educational Psychology services, ensuring statutory responsibilities are consistently met to a high standard. Managing and supporting a multi-disciplinary team of business, finance and data staff, you will foster a culture of continuous learning, clear accountability and personal development.
Your role includes using service performance data, termly audits and key trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and maintain compliance. You will coordinate service-wide induction and training programmes and act as a first point of contact for complaints, Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and Subject Access Requests (SARs) to ensure transparent and prompt responses.
Additionally, you will oversee operational financial processes, monitor tuition provision and help manage High Needs Funding developments. Working collaboratively across matrix management structures, you will help adapt systems to national SEND reforms, ensuring robust and dependable support for schools and residents.
Interviews will be held in person at Kensington Town Hall during the week commencing 31st August 2026. This post requires an Enhanced DBS check.
Experience
Proven experience in managing and developing staff, including line management, performance reviews and workforce growth. Experience using data insights and financial oversight to inform decisions and report effectively across matrix structures.

Strong understanding of SEND legislation and operational systems, or the confidence and capability to rapidly master these frameworks. Qualifications
