We are looking for a Specialist Housing Officer to provide a high-quality locality- based Specialist Housing Management service across our properties in London.
We provide specialist housing and support to our customers who have experienced homelessness and are former rough sleepers who may have mental health and other complex needs. Our customers are vulnerable tenants who require our support to live well, independently and flourish!
What we’re looking for:
Do you have experience of working in a housing management service, including estate services, maintenance, the enforcement of the tenancy agreement, housing and welfare benefits advice and/or experience working in a challenging customer service environment?
Do you have excellent time management skills with the ability to meet conflicting deadlines?
Can you quickly assess information and situations to make common sense decisions and communicate these clearly?
Do you have any experience of monitoring the performance of external contractors and service providers?
Do you have a positive attitude, are kind and empathetic, and have the energy and enthusiasm to respect our diverse range of customers' needs?

A bit about the role:
As a Specialist Housing Officer, you will be helping support people to live happily in the place they call home, working with our customers to maintain their tenancy and strive to be a good and considerate neighbour.
Some of the key results for the role include:
You will provide a high-quality housing management service to tenants and licensees;
You will act as the Associations ambassador, building positive relationships with customers, licensees and their care and support providers;
You will take responsibility for a ‘patch’, liaising with other departments to aim for ‘right first time’ resolution of tenancy and estate issues;
you will work in partnership with internal and external support providers delivering a housing management service responsive to the requirements of the support service specification.
This role will require an Enhanced DBS check, a UK driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
