Description
Peabody are looking for a Specialist Support Worker to provide Intensive Housing Support to our customers who have a history of rough sleeping, social exclusion, chaotic lifestyles, severe multiple disadvantage and trauma.
In this role you will be supporting our customers to access services, manage a tenancy and develop independent living skills.
We currently have 2 Full Time and 1 Part-Time position available.

Here at Peabody, we have three opportunities for a Specialist Support Worker on a Permanent basis in the city of Southend.
A bit about the role:
The primary function of the Intensive housing support (IHS) team is to support our customers to maintain their tenancies by providing person centred support. As a specialist support worker with the IHS, you will be working as part of a community-based team and be expected to lead on working intensively with a small caseload of customers who have multiple disadvantages. You will be focussing on recovery homelessness prevention and supporting the customers through a process of change.
Some of the key results for the role include:
Deliver Intensive housing support to our customers who have support needs including alcohol and substance misuse, are at risk of domestic abuse, are offenders or ex-offenders and may have physical or mental health needs.
Support our customers to develop and maintain skills and resilience needed to maintain a tenancy and continue living in the community with increasing independence.
Reduce anti-social behaviour, offending and hospital admissions for our customers across Southend.
Deliver flexible support- ensuring the service is flexible and offers support at the appropriate intensity with the ability to increase or reduce support as needed.
Increased opportunities for peer support, purposeful activity, learning, volunteering and work or work like activities in partnership with other services are developed.
Customers move on into independent living with reduced support.
An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role and Peabody will cover the costs of this. You will require a UK Driving Licence and have access to your own vehicle. You will work 5 days a week Monday-Friday with occasional weekends. Your main base will be working in the city of Southend.
