Hours
Up to 30 hours per week, including morning and evening shifts between 7:00 to 13:00 and 16:30 to 23:00. Work is required over 7 days with a minimum commitment to alternate weekends and Friday evenings.

£33,495 per annum
About the Role
The START team provides a flexible short-term assessment and reablement service, supporting people to maximise their independence and ability within their own homes. This multi-disciplinary team includes professionals from social services and the NHS such as Support Workers, Social Workers, an Occupational Therapist, and a Physiotherapist. Following a 2019 CQC inspection, the service was rated overall GOOD and awarded “Best contribution in Adult Social Services” in 2025. We are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of our service users by helping them maintain independence and improve their quality of life.

Experience
- Experience working in a caring role is essential.
- Experience in Moving and Handling is required.

- Reliable and flexible with availability to work morning and evening shifts, including alternate weekends and Friday evenings.
- Confident driver with a full clean UK driving licence and access to a car for work, able to drive borough-wide.
- Keen to develop skills and knowledge within a dynamic service.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) is required or willingness to work towards this qualification.
