About the Role
As a Sterile Services Technician, you will be responsible for sterilizing instrument packs using dual temperature steam autoclaves and other sterilizing equipment. You will identify different types of equipment for both high and low temperature sterilization and recognize single-use equipment for appropriate disposal. Your role includes operating HSDU/CSSD equipment such as modern industrial washing machines and autoclaves, performing necessary equipment tests including Bowie Dick tests, and maintaining proficiency in the instrument tracking system. You will manage stocks and supplies within the sterile services department, receive and distribute raw materials in line with quality procedures, and ensure a clean and safe working environment. Flexibility is essential to cover all areas of the working unit as required.

Experience
- Competence in using HSDU/CSSD equipment including industrial washers and autoclaves
- Experience performing equipment tests such as Bowie Dick tests
- Familiarity with instrument tracking systems is essential
