About the Role
As Supply Chain Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enabling successful work winning and project delivery across Major Projects by leading strategic supply chain engagement and market-facing activities. Working within a cross-functional environment, you will ensure early alignment of supply chain capability with bid objectives, client expectations, and commercial targets. You will be responsible for developing and executing robust supply chain strategies, securing early commitment from key partners, and shaping value-driven, compliant sourcing approaches that enhance competitiveness.

Through proactive market engagement and strong supplier relationships, you will ensure supply chain readiness, resilience, and mobilisation capability to support successful project outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading supply chain strategy development for bids, ensuring alignment with win themes, client outcomes, delivery models, and commercial targets.
- Developing and leading a Strategic Supplier Relationship Management Programme including Strategic Workstreams and Continuous Improvement Plans.
- Facilitating and fully implementing Supplier Performance Management within Major Projects via the Jaggaer e-Procurement system, ensuring resolution of key improvement actions.
- Driving early supply chain engagement and market intelligence, assessing capacity, capability, risk exposure, and readiness across key sectors and upcoming work pipeline.
- Building compelling supply chain contributions to PQQ and ITT responses, including partner value propositions, delivery models, innovation case studies, and demonstrable outcomes.
- Facilitating Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) with key partners to optimise design, de-risk delivery, enhance buildability, and unlock innovation and value.
- Defining packaging strategy and supply chain architecture, ensuring optimal market approach, competitive tension, and alignment to project delivery strategy.
- Securing robust supply chain input into pricing and solution development, supporting estimators with credible, market-tested assumptions across labour, plant, materials, and subcontracting.
- Championing supply chain governance and risk management, ensuring compliance with internal standards while proactively managing supply chain risk, resilience, and performance.
- Operating as a core member of project/bid leadership teams, integrating supply chain strategy with commercial, technical, and design solutions to strengthen overall competitiveness.
- Providing clear reporting on supply chain readiness, risks, and opportunities, supporting Gate Reviews and senior governance with evidence-based insight.
- Driving continuous improvement and market-facing best practice, contributing to knowledge sharing, lessons learned, and category/supply chain strategy development.
- Ensuring mobilisation readiness through early partner alignment, enabling seamless transition from bid to delivery and establishing strong foundations for project execution.

Experience
- Relevant business degree or equivalent experience (e.g. MCIPS) desired
- Proven experience in developing and delivering supply chain strategy
- Pragmatic yet disciplined approach to process compliance
- Highly results orientated with a proven track record of exceeding targets
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Presentation skills
