In this role, you will support project teams to solve complex integration problems for our clients on major infrastructure programmes. You will lead tasks within a project environment, either leading other resources on larger projects or having sole accountability for small projects.
As a professional in systems engineering and integration, you will demonstrate a willingness and openness to challenge and learn from our clients and colleagues, with a commitment to mentoring Early Career Professionals. You will work in challenging and exciting project environments, helping to define projects, add value, and reduce risk for our clients by applying pragmatic systems thinking and collaborative behaviours as part of a team on large systems engineering projects.
You will support internal team development activities focused on business and/or technical development, gain commercial responsibility of your project, and develop awareness of the wider business while working in a consultancy environment. Proactively seeking knowledge and learning opportunities from within the team or via external sources will be key to developing your capability to determine the right approach to a problem, considering competing needs and constraints such as capabilities, resource availability, time, and cost.
Maintaining an up-to-date CPD record and developing a professional network will be part of your ongoing professional growth.
Experience
- A degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Post-degree experience in delivering systems integration in a rail environment
- Experience applying various systems engineering tools (e.g. DOORS) and techniques (e.g. MBSE)
- Experience identifying and defining the appropriate approach to systems engineering on projects
- Experience identifying and defining the appropriate application of systems engineering tools on projects
- Ideally experience in leading others in delivering systems engineering projects and/or tasks
- Background in client-facing roles and/or experience in stakeholder engagement
- Experience across different lifecycle stages and/or a clear understanding of the Systems Engineering challenges across different stages

- Chartered status with a relevant professional body, or able to demonstrate progress towards achieving Chartered status in the near future
