About the Role
St Michael’s CofE Primary School is an oversubscribed, vibrant school with an excellent reputation in the local and wider community. Our children are enthusiastic, inquisitive and eager to learn. We are looking for two motivated, hardworking individuals to join our team of Teaching Assistants. You will mainly be class based supporting pupils with additional needs; working with groups of children of all abilities; and assisting the class teachers in all areas of their classroom practice and preparation. We require individuals who are committed to working within the framework of the school’s policies and ethos and who will contribute to the development of the whole school. St Michael’s is a friendly and rewarding place to work set in beautiful grounds. We have a very supportive staff and leadership team and offer opportunities for further professional development. The contract is initially for one year fixed term until 31/08/2027 with potential to extend. The start date is as soon as possible. Closing date for applications is Friday 4th September 2026. Experience
Previous experience working with children, particularly those with additional needs, is desirable but not essential. Commitment to supporting pupils and working within school policies is required.

Qualifications
No specific qualifications are required; however, relevant experience or training in education or supporting children with additional needs would be advantageous.
