About the Role
As a Project Manager within Adult Social Care, you will play a pivotal role in driving meaningful change and continuous improvement across a wide-ranging and dynamic service area. You will lead and support a diverse portfolio of programmes and projects designed to enhance services, improve outcomes, and strengthen the experiences of residents, carers, and professionals.

Adult Social Care covers support for older people, individuals with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, safeguarding, and wider care and support services. Working within this complex landscape, you will contribute to projects that help people live independently, stay connected to their communities, and access high-quality, person-centred support.

Responsible for managing projects from inception through to successful delivery, you will ensure effective planning, coordination, and implementation in line with organisational priorities and project management principles. This is a hands-on role, working collaboratively and leading on different aspects of delivery within Adult Social Care.

About the Team
The Service Development and Improvement team supports the successful delivery of Adult Social Care’s complex improvement programme. Working alongside programme leads and operational services, the team provides coordination, analysis, and project management to ensure vital improvement projects are effectively planned, monitored, and delivered.

The team integrates data, insight, and stakeholder input to inform decision-making, track progress against key milestones, and drive continuous improvement. By maintaining strong governance, supporting programme reporting, and collaborating across teams and partner organisations, the team ensures improvement activity is well-managed, evidence-based, and focused on achieving better outcomes for residents.

Experience
Proven track record of delivering impactful projects and leading service improvement within Adult Social Care. Experience managing complex projects from inception to delivery, with strong knowledge of project management principles and performance management.

Experienced and driven professional with a strong understanding of Adult Social Care challenges. Able to think strategically and translate vision into actionable plans while delivering operationally at pace. Excellent interpersonal and engagement skills, adept at working collaboratively with residents, partners, and colleagues. Skilled in co-production principles and designing services that reflect local needs. Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.

Qualifications
Relevant project management qualifications or equivalent experience preferred. Strong expertise in benefits realisation and driving measurable outcomes that improve services and deliver value for residents.
