About the Role
The London Borough of Harrow is seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Manager to join our Adults and Public Health Directorate. You will lead the Learning Disabilities Community Team, ensuring a balanced skill mix and maintaining safe staffing levels at all times. This role involves overseeing the delivery of services to individuals with a range of physical and mental disabilities, with a steadfast focus on assessments and interventions that maximise recovery and promote independence.

As Team Manager, you will be responsible for the operational management of the service, ensuring that practice is both safe and effective. You will provide professional leadership to a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and person-centred care. The role requires navigating complex safeguarding and legislative requirements while ensuring that the expressed wishes and needs of service users remain central to all decision-making.

Key responsibilities include managing and overseeing the community team service, ensuring a balanced skills mix and safe staffing levels, providing services focused on assessment and interventions to maximise recovery and independence, leading and supporting a dynamic and compassionate team, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to improve service delivery.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience in healthcare management and operational leadership within a multidisciplinary setting. Experience managing teams delivering services to individuals with learning disabilities or similar complex needs is essential.

Qualifications
