We are now recruiting a Technical Assurance Engineer to join the HS2 Track infrastructure project at the initial design phase, running concurrently with the completion of main works contracts at their peak. The team operates under a collaborative Rail Systems Alliance structure to manage interfaces and resolve program conflicts. Members work together on design, access, resources, and logistics to achieve shared goals for cost and schedule.

Key responsibilities include coordinating and submitting all technical assurance activities, resolving related issues to deliver a progressively self-assured product, contributing to the improvement of technical assurance processes and systems, applying processes from the FBRS Requirements and Assurance Management Plan (RAMP), maintaining the Contractor’s Technical Requirements Baseline, assisting in the identification and decomposition of requirements, supporting system and subsystem requirements elicitation, ensuring sound engineering and verification & validation (V&V) produce evidence assuring stakeholders, progressively delivering assurance evidence through each project lifecycle, assisting with progress reviews, tracking and reporting assured deliverables and certification, assessing Technical Assurance readiness for design reviews and stage gates, and supporting presentation of stage gate assurance packs for FBRS/HS2 acceptance panels.

Requirements

Experience
- Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in major multi-disciplinary rail projects.
- Experience in high-speed railway projects, design and build projects, and UK projects is valuable.
- Proficient in Requirements Management.
- Proficient in IBM Rational DOORS.
- Previous experience in a similar role with aligned responsibilities and accountabilities.

Qualifications
