About the Role
Join University College Hospital (UCH), a major Teaching Hospital and Research Centre renowned for its state-of-the-art facilities and commitment to clinical excellence. As a Theatre Practitioner in Anaesthesia, you will be part of a busy, dynamic operating theatre environment delivering high-quality, evidence-based perioperative care across a broad range of specialties including General Surgery, Trauma & Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Upper GI, Colorectal, Gynaecology, Urology, Oncology, Paediatrics, ENT, Maxillofacial, Vascular, Plastics/Breast, and Robotic Surgery. You will also provide anaesthetic services in outlying areas such as Endoscopy, Radiotherapy, Nuclear Medicine, Brachytherapy, and Interventional Radiology.
Our newly opened Grafton Way Building theatre complex supports elective orthopaedic, ENT, and oral surgery, with further career opportunities arising from the opening of the Proton Beam Therapy Centre. We are strongly committed to professional development, offering a wide range of in-house and university-accredited training programmes. Opportunities exist to rotate across multiple clinical areas including Main Theatres, Day Surgery Unit, Macmillan Cancer Centre, Grafton Way Building, and EGA Obstetric Theatres, supported by a dedicated Senior Clinical Practice Facilitator.

Experience
- Knowledge of perioperative patient care
- Evidence of leadership or team coordination in a clinical setting
- Experience managing or contributing to change in practice

Qualifications
- HCPC registration as an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) or NMC registration with an accredited postgraduate anaesthetic qualification
