We have a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join us at Brent Property Services. This role will provide a solid foundation for a career in quantity surveying and contract management, as you’ll support the team in the delivery and operation of high value contracts. About the post As a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, you’ll support contract management in the Property Service across repairs, maintenance, voids, compliance, and construction work. You’ll have the opportunity to undertake financial audits of contractor invoices and check valuations for accuracy. You’ll help to draft specifications and obtain competitive quotations for works and services for the Council. You’ll gain experience in budget management, supporting the management of capital and revenue budgets to ensure compliance with contractual arrangements and financial controls. You’ll also develop relationships with providers, partners and stakeholders in the Service. The ideal candidate To be successful as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor you’ll need a willingness to study towards and complete a BSc in Quantity Surveying. You’ll have knowledge of standard IT software applications, including Microsoft Office and Teams. You’ll possess experience in a housing maintenance or commercial environment. You also need to have strong analytical skills and an ability to assess and evaluate choices from a range of options.
