In this role, you’ll create engaging, inclusive activities—think sports, arts and crafts, cookery, and much more. Your strong communication skills and positive energy will help you connect with young people and motivate them to participate in these activities, fostering their independence, self-awareness, and creativity. As a Youth Worker, you’ll take the lead in delivering a varied program of activities, maintaining safe, secure environments at the Pembury Community Centre and other spaces. You’ll also provide valuable mentorship, guiding young people in planning their own projects and supporting their personal development. Strong relationships and a deep understanding of safeguarding are key here, as we work with young people of diverse backgrounds. To be successful in this role, you’re: An enthusiastic Youth Worker with proven experience in project delivery of youth services within a charity, school or council setting. Trustworthy and reliable with an understanding of the confidentiality and safeguarding requirements of the role. A self – starter who is proactive and flexible in your approach. This role requires an Enhanced DBS check prior to appointment.
