About the Role
We’re seeking a proactive, committed, and detail-driven Administrative Support Officer to become a key part of our Council’s dynamic in-house Legal team. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality operational support — working with IT systems, general administration, client liaison, overseeing payment processes, tracking and reporting on income and expenditure, and shaping efficient working practices that evolve with the needs of our service.
About the Team
You’ll join a dedicated and collaborative Business Support team that plays a vital role in enabling Legal Services to deliver outstanding support to our clients. We pride ourselves on fostering a culture of innovation, accuracy, and proactive problem-solving—where every team member contributes to driving service excellence. You will primarily focus on supporting the Disrepair legal team, dealing with payment requests, processing letters of claim, providing administrative support to caseworkers and fee-earners, liaising with admins across teams, managing internal client cases, insourced cases, and coordinating with external firms regarding outsourced cases.

Haringey’s people are a huge asset, with knowledge, expertise, and passion. Our staff embody our organisational values: Caring, Creative, Courageous, Collaborative and Community-focused. These values keep us ambitious for the future and continuously striving to do our very best for all residents.

Experience
Experience in administrative support roles is desirable but not essential. A proactive approach and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently are key.
About You
You are an organised individual who enjoys managing client records and payments, updating systems, and striving for efficiencies and improvements while prioritising tasks to meet deadlines. Your attention to detail ensures accurate data entry and record keeping, and you proactively address issues as they arise. Strong IT skills and a drive to implement structure will help you thrive as part of a high-performing business support team.
Qualifications
No specific qualifications are required, but relevant administrative or legal support experience and strong IT proficiency will be advantageous.
