About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS trusts, providing a full range of hospital and community services across south London and specialist care for patients from further afield. The Trust includes the largest dental school in Europe, a £160 million Cancer Centre, Evelina London Children’s Hospital, and one of the largest critical care units in the UK. In 2021, the Royal Brompton and Harefield joined the Trust, creating a world-renowned heart and lung centre.

The Business Support Administration function supports the Neighbourhood Nursing service through four hubs: Telephone Management, Referral Management, Lambeth Operational Hub, and Southwark Operational Hub. This role involves handling referral and appointment queries, processing referrals, scheduling appointments, supporting leg ulcer clinics, and assisting with stock delivery and collection.

The Administrator will provide high quality administrative support including typing, reception duties, customer service, maintaining databases, booking appointments and meetings, filing, organising meeting rooms, and general departmental support. The post holder will often be the first point of contact for the department and must communicate professionally and courteously, answering general queries and explaining information related to the department.

The role includes supporting the nursing teams with IT account setup, stock management, booking temporary and agency staff, scanning and uploading documents, administrative setup for new starters, escalating IT/network issues, and ordering IT equipment. The post holder will also provide support for meetings, prepare and distribute agendas, take and transcribe minutes, and assist with projects and cross-cover duties within the administrative team.

Guy’s and St Thomas’ is committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion, supporting flexible working arrangements to promote a healthy work-life balance. The Trust encourages applications from all backgrounds and provides reasonable adjustments for applicants with disabilities.
