The Access and Information Team serves as the initial contact point for residents seeking Adult Social Care services. The team includes Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, and dedicated unqualified staff who work collaboratively to handle enquiries with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner (Occupational Therapist) to join this team. The role involves providing specialist advice, guidance, and supervision to OT Assistants to maintain high professional standards. You will also deliver direct OT assessments in residents’ homes, supporting Brent’s mission to empower individuals to live independently and improve quality of life across the borough’s diverse communities.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience in Adult Social Care is essential, particularly in assessing and enabling independence within diverse community settings. Experience working with adults with physical disabilities and older people is highly desirable. Familiarity with the provision and management of community equipment and navigating complex care systems is advantageous.

Qualifications
A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC) are required.
