About the Role
Join Brent Council as an Occupational Therapist and become part of a vibrant, diverse London borough where Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline. Brent spans both inner and outer London and is known for its rich ethnic, economic, environmental, and social diversity. The council is undergoing a significant transformation to better meet community needs, making this an exciting time to join the team.
The Access and Information Team acts as the vital first point of contact for anyone seeking support or guidance from Brent’s Adult Social Care services. The team provides comprehensive information and practical advice to the public, customers, carers, and health and social care professionals. They assist with eligibility queries, navigating care systems, and accessing community resources.
The team includes Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Care Assessors, and Occupational Therapy Assistants who work collaboratively to assess needs holistically and offer tailored solutions. These may include signposting to services, arranging urgent interventions, or providing preventative support to promote independence and wellbeing.
We are recruiting two permanent Occupational Therapists to make a real difference at the frontline of adult social care. You will support residents from diverse communities across Brent, helping them maximise independence, improve quality of life, and remain safely in their own homes.
You will join a dynamic, supportive group of professionals during a time of positive transformation. If you are passionate about making an impact and contributing to a service that values diversity, continuous learning, and innovation, this is a rewarding opportunity to consider.
