About the Role
This role sits within the Adult Social Care (ASC) Finance Hub for Sutton Council, part of a shared finance service with the Royal Borough of Kingston. The post holder will work within the Sutton Adult Social Care Collections Team to maximise daily income collection and debt management through effective, responsive processing activity. Responsibilities include billing, collection, and recovery of Adult Social Care charges in line with legislation and Council policies. The role involves close collaboration with other ASC Finance Hub teams, legal teams, social workers, and attending meetings with Heads of Services to discuss debt positions. Key duties include responding to customer queries via email and phone, following up on overdue debts, and writing letters to customers regarding their accounts and required actions.

Experience
- Previous experience using multiple ICT systems simultaneously is essential.
- Experience in adult social services and knowledge of the Care Act 2014 is desirable.
