Full Time - 35 hours per week
Salary
£35,951 - £45,500 per annum depending on experience, plus an essential car user allowance of £1,300 per annum

About the Role
L&Q is developing our Operational Building Safety Team within the Property Services Directorate and is pleased to offer the opportunity to join the team as an Assistant Building Safety Manager. In this role, you will support the Building Safety Managers in ensuring building safety compliance, collaborating closely with Lead Building Safety Managers, the Head of Service, and the Director of Building Compliance & Engagement. Your responsibilities will include conducting site inspections in accordance with current building safety regulations, assisting in gathering building information, and creating Building Safety Case Reports for the buildings under your management. You will promote and communicate building safety matters across the organization, engaging with residents, leaseholders, internal teams, and external stakeholders. This role also involves ensuring that fire safety and building safety activities are tracked and traceable through the Golden Thread, providing sufficient evidence to all stakeholders. You will manage contracts with consultants and service providers to source building safety information and support the Building Safety Managers in fulfilling their duties to ensure that in-scope buildings are safe to occupy and comply with relevant regulations.
Experience
Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, supporting team members to instill a strong, cohesive team culture, and managing change effectively.
About you
You should possess high levels of computer literacy and be able to input and retrieve data from various management systems. A relevant Building Safety qualification is desirable, and candidates should indicate their progress towards this in their applications.
Qualifications
Hold or be willing to work towards a relevant Building Safety qualification.
