About the Role
You will be a key member of the D&A Engineering leadership team, supporting the CIO office and senior leaders. The Assistant Business Manager role is responsible for running and continuously improving the operating rhythm for D&A Engineering, ensuring leadership time is focused on the right priorities with clear decisions and outcomes. This high-impact, high-trust role requires close partnership with senior executives, strong judgement, and the ability to operate at pace. A significant focus is embedding AI-enabled and automated ways of working into business management routines to enhance efficiency, consistency, and insight. Over time, you will be expected to progress into a Business Manager or Chief of Staff position, so an enterprise mindset, breadth, and leadership maturity are essential.
You will coordinate activities across strategy, delivery, people, finance, risk, and governance, enabling the D&A CIO and leadership team to execute with clarity, pace, and accountability. Your responsibilities include tracking priorities, surfacing risks and dependencies, driving follow-through on actions, and building capability to progress toward future leadership roles.

Experience
Proven experience in business management, COO, or Chief of Staff-style roles. Demonstrated ability to run operating rhythms in complex, global organisations. Practical experience using AI, automation, reporting, workflow, or productivity tools to improve operational efficiency and insight. Credibility working with senior technology and enterprise leaders.
