A little more about the role... Client engagement work where you will understand what clients need and translate that into clear, simple solutions. Project management duties where you’ll play an important role in delivering project tasks on time, within budget and to a high standard. Reviewing available asset condition data to support asset management planning work, and effectively communicate technical and non-technical information to clients. Providing technical assurance in the delivery of lifecycle renewal activities with health, safety and the environment being key focal points.

Requirements

Experience
Diploma or Degree level qualification in Civil Engineering with previous experience in the highways sector. Experience in managing asset data, developing forward plans, and supporting the delivery of lifecycle renewal activities. Knowledge of design delivery processes and technical assurance is useful but not mandatory.

About you
Professionally qualified with a recognised institution or working towards one in your field of expertise. Understanding of the strategic road network and the operation and maintenance of key asset categories, focusing on asset management. Specialism in at least one asset type, preferably highway bridges and structures; expertise in additional highway assets is desirable. Able to travel to/from site and/or client offices, including remote locations where required.

Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering. Professional accreditation or working towards accreditation with institutions such as ICE, IAM, IHT or others.
