We are seeking a Senior Mining Engineer with experience in long-term planning across mining operations and studies, or a Mining Engineer ready to take the next step. Reporting to the Technical Director for Mining, you will work on mining studies and projects from conception to completion at all stages of the life cycle. Your responsibilities will include providing advice on mining methods, development paths, life of mine planning, and optimisation strategies. You will assist in developing cost models and financial analyses, support due diligence reviews for mergers and acquisitions or project finance, and act as an interface between mine advisory disciplines and capital projects, asset management, and environmental groups. Safety leadership is key, as is mentoring and supporting junior engineers through guidance, training, and professional development. Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mine Engineering or similar.
Proven experience in a similar mining role.
Strong proficiency in mine planning software such as Deswik, Vulcan, Surpac.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor engineers.
Excellent communication, report writing, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Previous consulting experience is highly regarded.
