About the Role

Join our Mine Engineering & Stability Team to deliver integrated mining studies and advisory services that meet client objectives and solve complex challenges. As a Senior Mining Engineer, you will lead mining studies and projects from conception to completion across all stages of the mine life cycle. Your responsibilities will include providing expert advice on mining methods, development paths, life of mine planning, and optimisation strategies. You will assist in developing cost models and conducting financial analyses, supporting due diligence reviews for mergers, acquisitions, and project finance. Acting as a key interface between mine advisory disciplines and capital projects, asset management, and environmental groups, you will also provide safety leadership by identifying and mitigating high priority hazards. Mentoring and supporting junior engineers through guidance, training, and professional development will be an important part of your role. Reporting to the Technical Director for Mining, you will be part of the world’s largest mining consultancy, where your technical expertise and passion for innovation will help you grow and make a meaningful impact.

Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mine Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in a similar mining engineering role, with a strong track record in long-term mine planning and mining operations. Proficiency in mine planning software such as Deswik, Vulcan, Surpac, and other relevant tools. Previous consulting experience is highly regarded.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mine Engineering or similar discipline is required. Additional certifications or training related to mining engineering and project management will be advantageous.
