About the Role
We are BBC Studios, a globally renowned media company born of the BBC, creating and distributing the world's most sought-after TV, audio and digital content. Our ambition is to be the home of the most powerful, entertaining, and inspiring stories for people all around the world.
We are seeking an HR professional to support the delivery of the People Strategy across our Scripted portfolio, translating people strategy into practical solutions that enable creativity, collaboration and business success.
Based within BBC Studios Scripted Productions, you will report to the Head of HR and work alongside an HR Business Partner. You will also be part of a wider HR community, offering opportunities to collaborate, partner, and support each other.
This is an exciting opportunity to broaden your experience, increase your organisational impact and develop your career within one of the world's leading creative businesses.
Your key responsibilities and impact include:
- Acting as a key point of contact for managers and employees, providing practical and commercially focused HR support.
- Building strong relationships across the business and People team to deliver consistent, effective people solutions.
- Supporting the delivery of culture and engagement initiatives that reinforce the behaviours and expectations set out in The Pledge, promoting respectful, inclusive and high-performing teams.
- Supporting cyclical people processes including talent, performance, reward and workforce planning activities.
- Using people data and insights to identify trends, inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Supporting organisational change and strategic people initiatives, deputising for the HR Business Partner when required.
Experience
- Naturally curious, asking thoughtful questions and seeking to understand root causes rather than simply addressing symptoms.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, identifying gaps, patterns and opportunities, using evidence to recommend improvements and drive better outcomes.
- Comfortable using technology, data and emerging AI tools to enhance productivity, generate insights and support informed decision-making.
- Confidence handling sensitive or challenging conversations with professionalism, empathy and credibility.
- Able to operate effectively in environments where situations are not always clear, balancing business needs, employee experience and organisational priorities.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
About you
- A proactive and self-directed approach, taking ownership of priorities and delivering high-quality work with appropriate support and guidance.
- Collaborative mindset, able to build strong relationships and work effectively within a team and wider HR community.
Qualifications
Desired but not required:
- Previous exposure to media, broadcasting, television production or other creative industries.
- Experience working within a shared services or centralised HR model.
- Experience supporting an HR partnering approach and working closely with senior stakeholders.
If you can bring some of these skills and experience, along with transferable strengths, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
