About the Role
BBC Studios is a world-renowned content studio and channels & streaming business powered by British creativity, reaching audiences globally. We produce platform-defining shows such as Strictly Come Dancing, Bluey, Prehistoric Planet, and Planet Earth III. As Britain’s most awarded production company, BBC Studios also operates bbc.com, the widest-read English language news website globally, and is the UK’s largest distributor of British content.

We are hiring a Curation Editor for bbc.com, based in London, to join our Audience Development team within the Global Digital News & Streaming division. This role involves curating the BBC website and apps for global audiences outside the UK, including North America, with a focus on managing the homepage and key indexes during UK morning hours—a critical time for our global audience and cross-timezone editorial operations.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong editorial judgment, a sharp eye for engaging headlines and visuals, and a keen understanding of U.S. and global audience needs in the digital space. Reporting to the Lead Curation Editor, you will be responsible for promoting news and factual content effectively while adhering to BBC editorial values and guidelines.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with editors across the BBC, managing story mixes and formats for different times and regions, ensuring headlines and images are optimized for mobile, responding quickly to breaking news, writing accurate push alerts, driving site experience improvements through A/B testing and performance analysis, and preparing clear handover notes. Weekend and public holiday shifts are required as part of team rotation to meet operational needs.
