This talent pool opportunity is for Senior Commercial, Rights & Business Affairs Managers interested in working with BBC Studios. The Role
The Commercial, Rights & Business Affairs Manager acts as a principal advisor for the business and Legal Affairs team and represents BBC Studios boards when required. Responsibilities include managing and overseeing a wide range of legal and business affairs activities throughout production stages, ensuring compliance with policies and frameworks.

Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting strategy development and implementation to secure competitive commercial deals and enable business growth
- Proposing innovative solutions to complex business problems
- Building strong relationships across legal teams and wider business
- Collaborating on negotiation of global commissioning deals and advising on challenging negotiations
- Advising on production risks, legal and commercial risks, editorial policy, and compliance
- Assisting in risk management and ensuring consistency of approach across portfolios
- Representing Business & Legal Affairs at senior levels with authority and diplomacy

Experience
Legal qualifications with experience negotiating content contracts and securing competitive terms with commissioners. Comprehensive knowledge of legal and commercial issues related to producing content for commissioners. Proven ability to operate commercially and respond quickly to market changes. Skilled in conflict resolution and devising balanced solutions.

About you
Highly business-oriented with a commercial mindset. Confident in building relationships and representing senior leadership. Able to work strategically and tactfully in a complex environment. Experience innovating and leading change in competitive settings is desirable.

Qualifications
Legal qualifications required. Knowledge of television content production is desirable.
