About the Role
BBC Studios is a globally renowned media company creating and distributing the world’s most sought-after TV, audio and digital content. As BBC Commercial embarks on an ambitious journey to double cash flow and expand its Content Studio, we are seeking a Finance Manager to lead the implementation of our Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) framework. This critical role ensures financial reporting risks are effectively managed, governance standards are upheld, and robust controls are embedded to support accurate and reliable reporting across our commercial operations.

Your key responsibilities and impact include:
- Supporting the design and rollout of a new ICFR framework aligned with BBC Group standards
- Leading process workshops and creating detailed documentation of financial reporting risks, controls, and IT dependencies
- Conducting walkthroughs and control design effectiveness testing across key Financial Statement Line Items (FSLIs)
- Assisting with operational effectiveness testing and remediation of control deficiencies
- Preparing annual ICFR scoping and contributing to Group-level attestation processes
- Delivering ICFR training and raising awareness of framework requirements across teams
- Acting as a subject matter expert, supporting finance projects and liaising with BBC Group ICFR stakeholders

Experience
- Fully qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Significant experience in ICFR/SOX or Audit, including developing and monitoring financial controls
- Proven expertise in SOX/ICFR implementation: process mapping, risk assessment, controls design, and remediation
- Strong documentation and communication skills for presenting risks, processes, and controls clearly
- Excellent project management skills with ability to deliver on time and follow through
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills to translate risk into actionable insights
- Exceptional stakeholder management and ability to explain financial controls to senior and non-finance audiences

About you
You are a motivated finance professional passionate about financial integrity and governance. You thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy driving meaningful change, and have the ability to communicate complex financial controls clearly to diverse audiences. Experience in change management and controls-design effectiveness testing is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications
Fully qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent) is essential.
