Salary
£40,200 - £69,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
About the Role
Join the award-winning Comedy and Entertainment team at BBC Studios Audio as an Audio Visual Producer. You will develop and produce innovative visualised podcasts and audio content for BBC and commercial platforms, working with much-loved talent to create the next big hit podcast. This role involves collaborating closely with the wider BBC Studios Audio team, including Factual and Drama producers, as well as TV colleagues across the BBC Studios Comedy and Entertainment teams.
You will lead the development and delivery of high-performing audio and audio-visual content, oversee studio and location recordings with multi-camera workflows, and manage production schedules and budgets. You will build strong relationships with hosts and contributors to capture their best performances and contribute to a creative, safe, and professional workplace culture.
BBC Studios Audio produces a wide variety of programmes including comedy and entertainment podcasts, radio panel shows, sitcoms, and formats for BBC Radio 4, BBC Sounds, and commercial platforms. Shows include Strong Message Here with Armando Iannucci, The Big Pitch with Jimmy Carr, Dancing with the Stars: The Official Podcast, Zeroes, The News Quiz, Just a Minute, and Dead Ringers.
This is a fixed-term contract for 1 year, starting 7th September 2026 (depending on notice period). Flexible working options are available and will be discussed at offer stage. Online interviews will be held w/c 13th July 2026 with second interviews in person w/c 20th July 2026.

Experience
- Proven experience producing high-quality audio content and delivering or contributing to video or video podcast formats.
- Experience overseeing multi-camera studio or location shoots or equivalent visual production workflows.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with talent, contributors, and creative teams in comedy and entertainment.
- Understanding of podcast commercial frameworks including revenue, distribution, and platform models for both audio and video.
- Experience working effectively in a team and collaborating with others.
