About the Role
As an AVP in Ratings focusing on Fund Finance at Moody's, you will lead the analysis for assigning both new and surveillance ratings to fund finance transactions, including rated note feeders, subscription credit facilities, net asset value loans, and asset-backed lending facilities. You will manage a portfolio of Funds and Asset Managers, conducting ongoing surveillance, credit assessments, and presenting recommendations to rating committees. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with fund sponsors, lenders, and arrangers to support analytical excellence and market insight. You will represent Moody’s Ratings as a thought leader by presenting at industry conferences, webinars, and podcasts, as well as authoring sector comments. Collaboration across Moody’s Ratings teams to drive credit analysis excellence, contributing to methodology and technology development projects, and mentoring junior rating analysts are key responsibilities. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the adoption of AI tools that improve analytical processes and drive efficiency across ratings operations.

About the Team
Our Funds and Asset Management team delivers high-quality credit ratings and research, enhancing market transparency and supporting investor decision-making. Experience
5+ years of credit/risk assessment experience with a proven track record in fund finance, asset management, or structured finance. Demonstrated understanding of asset management and fund finance sectors, including key players and industry drivers. Strong quantitative aptitude and analytical skills with proficiency in financial modelling. Highly organized and efficient, able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.

Qualifications
Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent advanced qualification. CFA/CAIA professional qualification would be highly beneficial.
