About the Role

FT Specialist provides specialist insight and global intelligence through 16 brands and around 270 people worldwide, serving niche professional audiences. FT Live, the global conferences and events division, delivers senior-level summits, conferences, awards programmes and digital events that connect influential audiences across industries and regions.
We are seeking an Awards & Audience Development Executive to support the delivery and growth of multiple awards programmes across various sectors and regions. Reporting to the Head of Awards Marketing, you will play a key role in increasing submissions by identifying and engaging prospective entrants, building relationships with organisations, and supporting entrants throughout the submission process.
This proactive, commercially focused role combines entrant acquisition, relationship management, and hands-on awards coordination. You will be the key contact for prospective and confirmed entrants, guiding them through the entry process, monitoring submissions for completeness, and ensuring judges receive the information needed to make informed decisions. Your work will directly contribute to submission growth, audience development, and the commercial success of the awards portfolio.

Experience
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously with a proactive and organised approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, confident in building relationships across a range of organisations and seniority levels.
- Commercially minded with an understanding of how audience engagement and relationship management drive business growth.
- Confident in proactively contacting prospective entrants via email, phone and other channels.
- Strong research skills to identify relevant organisations and contacts within target markets.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy when reviewing submissions and maintaining records.
- Strong written communication and copywriting skills.
- Experience working with data to monitor progress and inform activity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, especially Excel or Google Sheets.

Qualifications

- Experience in media, publishing or B2B environments is advantageous.
- Familiarity with awards, CRM, marketing automation or event registration platforms.
- Experience conducting targeted audience, organisation or company research.
