About the Role
The Procurement function at Financial Times operates group-wide as part of the Global Finance team, delivering transparent and effective procurement across the FT Group. The Procurement Manager will be based in London and play a key role in managing procurement activities across priority business areas including the Commercial Client Group (CCG), Product & Technology (P&T), and Reader Revenue Group (RRG). This role has a strong marketing procurement focus, requiring expertise in sourcing and managing agencies and consultancy providers in creative, media, social media, and digital marketing. Experience in events-related procurement such as venues, hotels, AV, and production services is advantageous.

The successful candidate will be commercially curious, forward-thinking, and comfortable leveraging technology and AI-enabled tools to enhance procurement efficiency, market analysis, sourcing, and contract management. The role involves leading end-to-end procurement activities, developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and collaborating closely with stakeholders across multiple business units. The start date is January 2027.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven procurement experience in marketing procurement and professional services
- Strong experience sourcing and managing marketing agencies, consultancy providers, or related suppliers
- Experience supporting procurement activity for events-related categories including venues, hotels, AV, and production services is desirable
- Experience working within a matrixed or global organisation is advantageous
- Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen, able to interpret spend data and market insights to support decision-making
- Experience using procurement systems and sourcing tools such as Coupa or similar platforms
