About the Role
As Back of House Manager, you will be responsible for the health and safety in the loading bay and back of house (BOH) areas including staff zones. You will maintain a clean and food-safe working environment in the loading bay and oversee COSHH training and certification across all Food & Beverage areas. Your role includes assisting with BOH health and safety audits, managing all goods receiving processes, and working closely with finance on related paperwork and systems. You will order all required chemicals and ensure their storage complies with legal and company guidelines. Additionally, you will oversee the ordering of all Food & Beverage products for outlets and the staff canteen, liaising with chefs to ensure accuracy. Ensuring correct receipt and storage of all F&B products within the hotel is essential. You will maintain company guidelines for refuse storage and removal, coordinating with contractors as needed. Liaising with the maintenance team and contractors regarding the upkeep of BOH areas will be part of your responsibilities. You will also be responsible for the safe opening and closing of designated culinary areas and the general maintenance of all culinary areas, equipment, and fixtures, fittings, and furnishings (F&F’s).
Experience
- Experience using stock and goods receiving systems
- Experience with kitchen equipment and recommended cleaning methods
