About the Role
We are seeking a confident Barista to join our support function team, serving coffee to approximately 300 staff members within the head office of a Nationwide Building Society. In addition to coffee service, you will support food service within the location. You will prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks using correct methods and equipment, maintaining high standards. You will greet customers warmly, share the story of our menu, provide recommendations, and be aware of allergen procedures. Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the coffee bar and surrounding areas in line with cleaning schedules, company, and COSHH standards is essential. You will follow all health and safety and food safety guidelines, monitor stock levels, restock supplies, operate till systems for payments and orders, and provide exceptional customer service, resolving any issues or complaints. Being a team player, organised, efficient, and having a can-do attitude are key to success in this role.

Experience
Minimum 2 years experience as a Barista or in a similar food service role is preferred. Basic latte art skills such as hearts are desirable but not essential.

Some knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is beneficial. You perpetuate company philosophy and culture, and have a contagious passion for coffee, tea, and customer service. Previous experience in the food service industry is often a plus but not mandatory.
