About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. Our values shape the way we consult and define the people we want to join us on our journey. The Benefits Management (BM) Lead is a key role within our PMO function and will bring the outcomes and benefits of the Programme to life to provide clarity for key audiences, including the sponsor department and other stakeholders. You will work closely with teams responsible for Finance and alongside other PMO functions to integrate benefits management into the client’s programme controls, including reporting. You will ensure benefits are clearly articulated as a key measure of programme and scheme performance.

Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing a benefits realisation strategy and framework that defines the approach and methods for benefits planning, realisation, mapping, evaluation, and categorisation for the programme. You will create and execute benefits management implementation plans for both the overall programme and individual schemes at Trust level. Collaborating with PMO, Programme Controls, and Finance teams, you will integrate benefits management into key functions such as reporting, cost management, and risk management.

You will work with programmatic enabling functions to implement the framework and identify, map, and plan benefits that achieve the targets set out in the programme business case. You will collaborate with delivery teams to develop a benefits framework for inclusion in scheme business cases that align with strategic objectives and deliver the programme business case. Monitoring benefits realisation plans, you will regularly provide assurance to leadership on adherence to the strategy and benefits delivery, recommending improvements where appropriate. Building strong professional relationships across the programme and partnering with the client team to meet expectations will be key to your success.

Mace is committed to safety, client focus, integrity, and creating opportunities for our people to excel. We are an inclusive employer welcoming applications from diverse candidates and are open to discussing part-time, flexible, and hybrid working options where suitable.
