About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. Our values shape the way we consult and define the people we want to join us on our journey. The Quantity Surveyor (QS) will specialise in the Pre-Contract space on a major infrastructure programme. This critical role will support the implementation of the commercial and contractual strategy during the procurement phase for works and services. The QS is required to possess a good understanding of the New Engineering Contract (NEC4) suite, framework agreements, and bespoke contractual arrangements. This role supports the Commercial Manager in the development of contracts in line with the strategy, containing robust commercial terms, optimal risk and reward allocation, incorporating proactive and collaborative requirements, and enabling performance management to ensure success in post contract administration. You will be responsible for managing a “Safety First” culture, ensuring excellence in safety, compliance, quality, cost, programme, and sustainability outcomes. You will provide strategic oversight of project delivery, contracts, costing, and client engagement aligned to business objectives. Driving ethical, commercially sound operations, supporting net zero ambitions, and upholding Mace values will be key. Additionally, you will build strong stakeholder relationships, foster innovation, and resolve complex procurement and contract challenges.
