About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. As a Project Manager, you will manage projects to achieve agreed outcomes on time, within budget and quality standards. You will provide day-to-day leadership, aligning multidisciplinary teams to deliver objectives and KPIs while managing risks, change processes, and internal fee targets. This role ensures collaboration and excellence throughout project delivery.

Mace has a significant track record in the education sector, working with schools, colleges, local authorities, and central government to deliver ‘landmarks for learning’ nationally. Our projects are sustainable, flexible, and designed to meet future needs. We are the leading consultant for the Department for Education (DfE), delivering projects across all principal capital programmes including the Schools Rebuilding Programme (SRP), free schools, special educational needs, and further education (colleges).

In this client-facing role, you will lead high-performing teams on a wide portfolio of work covering new build, refurbishment, remodelling, and carbon reduction schemes. Mace provides integrated multidisciplinary services including design, cost, information management, sustainability, and health and safety in-house, offering clients a single point of accountability.

Your responsibilities will include applying technical expertise in health and safety regulations, fostering inclusivity and team wellbeing, ensuring robust quality systems, managing project delivery from inception to completion, overseeing budgets and risks, coordinating design and stakeholders collaboratively, maintaining accurate plans and handover documentation, driving innovation and best practice, and upholding Mace values to support sustainable business outcomes.
