About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. Our values shape the way we consult and define the people we want to join us on our journey. You will play a pivotal role in Mace's AI transformation by independently leading the discovery, redesign and optimisation of business processes and digital services using AI-first principles. Working across the business and Digital teams, you'll identify high-value opportunities, shape innovative AI-enabled solutions and help translate ambitious ideas into measurable business outcomes that build the future of Mace Consult.

You will be responsible for leading the assessment of current business processes, decision points, pain points and supporting data to identify where AI can augment, automate or transform outcomes. You will evaluate opportunities, benefits, risks and constraints of AI-enabled change, including business value, feasibility, process readiness, data quality, controls, governance and responsible AI considerations. Defining practical AI-enabled future-state processes using AI-first principles, challenging existing ways of working and shaping activities around value, decisions and user experience will be key.

Working collaboratively with business, Digital, data, architecture, product and operational stakeholders, you will shape practical, responsible and scalable AI-enabled process solutions. You will capture business requirements, AI use cases, process rules, decision logic and success measures clearly and unambiguously using standard methods and templates. Creating and defining as-is and to-be process maps, service journeys and operating models that embed AI, automation and human oversight appropriately will be part of your role.

Translating business requirements into clear functional, data and AI solution requirements, working closely with technical teams to ensure feasibility, adoption and value realisation is essential. You will bring relevant external examples, market awareness and practical insight into AI-enabled process improvement and digital transformation.

You will lead business analysis activities of smaller initiatives or workstreams from discovery through design, testing and handover where a dedicated Project Manager is not required. Supporting the adoption of AI-enabled business analysis practices by sharing methods, templates and lessons learned with colleagues across the business is expected.

Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and sharing responsibility for the proactive identification and management of associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work is part of Mace’s commitment.

Success in this role will include identifying and shaping AI opportunities that deliver measurable business value, leading business process and AI readiness assessments across a diverse stakeholder community, producing high-quality requirements, process maps and use case documentation that accelerate delivery, supporting the prioritisation of AI opportunities based on value, feasibility, risk and organisational readiness, and helping ensure AI-enabled solutions are practical, scalable and aligned to business objectives.
