About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. Our values shape the way we consult and define the people we want to join us on our journey. This role supports all regional offices in delivering NEC Clerk of Works and Construction Quality Monitoring consultancy services. We are seeking Chartered Building Surveyors, Project Managers, and Architects to support a pipeline of site quality, condition surveys, and small project delivery projects. The successful candidate will be supported by our building surveying team and will have opportunities to work on traditional building surveying services such as Part Wall matters and defect diagnosis as part of their overall remit.
The role includes delivery of site quality monitoring in both the Education and Justice sectors. The candidate will have a strong grounding in building technology including Modern Methods of Construction (MMC). Responsibilities include reviewing works on site for adherence to contract requirements, good working practice, and manufacturers’ recommendations; managing specialist consultants such as M&E Engineers, Fire Consultants, and Façade Engineers; and effective verbal and written communication including accessing and reporting on online information platforms. Familiarity with both JCT and NEC forms of contract is essential.
The role requires the ability to manage your own workload and work independently, including design and tender of small to medium value maintenance projects. Experience delivering condition surveys using tablet capture software is also required. The candidate will need DBS and basic security clearances to deliver the role.
Mace is an inclusive employer and welcomes interest from a diverse range of candidates. We are open to discussing part-time, flexible, and hybrid working options where suitable within the role.
