About the Role
At Balfour Beatty, some of the most important decisions are made long before construction starts. As a Bid Manager, you’ll be at the centre of those decisions — shaping how complex, high-profile projects are conceived, costed, and ultimately delivered across our Regional Build London team and the wider region. This is a high-impact role where your ideas, leadership, and commercial insight will directly influence the success of major infrastructure and construction schemes that communities rely on every day.
As a Bid Manager you will:
- Lead the preconstruction journey on strategically important bids, from early engagement through to contract award
- Bring together design, commercial, planning, and delivery teams to create winning, buildable solutions
- Develop innovative construction methodologies that balance cost, programme, quality, and safety
- Work closely with clients to understand their challenges and shape solutions that add real value
- Drive risk management, value engineering, and smart use of the supply chain
- Set the standard for excellence in bidding, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Day in, day out, our teams deliver some of the UK’s most ambitious, exciting and meaningful projects; developing, building and maintaining the vital infrastructure that supports national economies and strengthens communities.
