Hours
Full-time, 36 hours per week – exact working hours to be agreed with the site. This is not a hybrid role and requires presence on-site Monday to Friday.
Salary
£30,288 – £31,611 per annum
About the Role
Newham is one of London’s most dynamic and diverse boroughs, home to over 220 languages and iconic landmarks such as Olympic Park, Westfield Stratford City, and Green Street. We are undergoing rapid transformation with new homes, jobs, and investment reshaping the borough. We are seeking a hands-on, reliable Building Services Officer to support the day-to-day running of Abbey Lane Children’s Centre. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment for staff and service users. Key duties include opening and closing the building, managing access, conducting fire alarm and compliance checks, performing minor maintenance and repairs, routine building inspections and safety reporting, room setup and porterage duties, site cleaning, hygiene and infection control, and acting as First Aider and Fire Warden.
Experience
Facilities or caretaking experience is desirable.

Qualifications
