About the Role

We are seeking a talented Building Surveyor to join our established London-based team, working with a diverse range of education sector clients including universities, schools, trusts, and government bodies. You will be responsible for delivering capital projects and undertaking condition surveys throughout the UK, managing a varied portfolio and often working on multiple projects simultaneously. Collaboration within larger teams and building strong client relationships will be key to ensuring exceptional service delivery. Excellent organisational skills are essential to consistently meet project deadlines and align work with cost forecasts, supporting the successful and profitable delivery of each project.

Role Accountabilities
The main objective of this position is the effective management and execution of capital works across educational properties. You will be entrusted with considerable responsibility, providing opportunities to develop both leadership and technical skills and advance your career within a forward-thinking, specialist team. Key tasks include overseeing professional consultancy assignments such as condition surveys and occasional dilapidations. You will facilitate clear communication at every project stage to ensure all relevant information is available to drive successful outcomes. Partnering with Project Managers and Team Leaders, you will support efficient financial management and deliver high-quality, cost-effective services. Regular, detailed progress updates to the Sector Director will ensure transparency and accountability. Mentoring and supervising junior surveyors will also be an important part of your role, contributing to team development.

Experience
Degree in Building Surveying or relevant field. Ideally MRICS accredited or actively pursuing chartership. Strong technical proficiency with multidisciplinary experience. Proven history of successfully delivering projects. Skilled in risk management and maintaining high standards of quality. Good awareness of issues and challenges faced by education sector clients.

Qualifications
