About the Role
As an Associate Project Manager at Arcadis, you will focus on Higher Education clients across the UK, managing construction, capital projects, refurbishment, fit-out, infrastructure, and estate development programmes. This role involves leading projects from early planning and procurement through to site delivery, handover, and close out. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring service delivery, client relationship management, account leadership, and bid support. The role requires confidence in direct client engagement, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage time, cost, quality, and risk to meet deadlines and maintain profitability. Key responsibilities include leading construction and capital projects, managing budgets, programmes, risk, governance, and contract compliance, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, building strong client relationships, supporting account growth, contributing to bid writing and proposal development, and driving high-quality, efficient, and commercially successful delivery.

Experience
Proven project management experience in construction or the built environment. Experience delivering capital projects, refurbishment, fit-out, or infrastructure schemes. Strong client management, commercial, and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience managing complex projects in live environments. Higher Education project experience is strongly preferred. Bid writing or account management experience is desirable. Laboratory or specialist technical building experience is advantageous.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate professional project management experience and ideally have supported Higher Education sector clients.
