We are seeking a skilled and experienced engineer to join our Geotechnical and Tunnelling team as a Principal Engineer. In this role, you will play a key technical and leadership role, contributing to innovative tunnel projects across Europe, including tunnel asset management and new build developments. This position offers the opportunity to work on technically demanding projects that shape the future of infrastructure.

As a Principal Engineer, you will provide technical expertise and guidance to a talented group of engineers and professionals. Our client portfolio includes respected organisations such as Transport for Scotland, National Highways, and International Governments, reflecting our reputation for delivering high-quality solutions with global impact.

Your responsibilities will include demonstrating detailed knowledge of structural and geotechnical aspects of tunnel design, tunnelling methodologies, and construction practices; applying your expertise to solve complex engineering challenges; providing leadership and mentoring to multidisciplinary teams; managing projects with a focus on quality, safety, and sustainability; engaging with clients and stakeholders to meet and exceed their expectations; and contributing to the development of sustainable, forward-thinking engineering solutions that enhance communities and drive infrastructure progress.

Experience
Significant expertise in geotechnical and tunnelling engineering, with experience in both new build and asset management projects. Proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects emphasizing quality, safety, and sustainability.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage client and team relationships. Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and guide multidisciplinary teams. Motivated to contribute innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.

Qualifications
Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent) with a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
