We are seeking a skilled and experienced engineer to join our Geotechnical and Tunnelling team as a Principal Engineer. In this role, you will play a key technical and leadership role, contributing to innovative tunnel projects across Europe, including tunnel asset management and new build developments. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on infrastructure development through technically demanding projects.

As a Principal Engineer, you will provide technical expertise and guidance to a talented group of engineers and professionals. Our client portfolio includes respected organisations such as Transport for Scotland, National Highways, and International Governments, reflecting our reputation for delivering high-quality solutions with global impact.

Your responsibilities will include applying detailed knowledge of structural and geotechnical tunnel design, tunnelling methodologies, and construction practices to solve complex engineering challenges. You will lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams, manage projects to ensure quality, safety, and sustainability, engage with clients to exceed their expectations, and contribute to the development of innovative and sustainable engineering solutions that enhance communities and drive infrastructure progress.

Experience
Significant expertise in geotechnical and tunnelling engineering, with experience in both new build and asset management projects. Proven track record in delivering complex engineering projects focused on quality, safety, and sustainability.

About you
Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to provide technical guidance and foster collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage client and team relationships. Motivated to contribute to innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications
Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent) with a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
