About the Role
Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. With over 34,000 people across more than 30 countries, we are dedicated to improving quality of life by solving complex challenges together.

As a Project Manager – Construction Delivery, you will support and coordinate the successful delivery of construction activities within complex, highly regulated programme environments. This management-level role involves providing construction delivery leadership and coordinating project management capability across defined packages, site areas, or technical interfaces.

You will work closely with clients, contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure construction activities are planned, coordinated, and delivered in line with agreed scope, programme, cost, quality, safety, and governance requirements. The role requires a balanced approach between site engagement, project management discipline, and stakeholder coordination.

You will act as a key interface between construction delivery, project management, engineering, commercial, project controls, health & safety, quality, and wider stakeholder teams. Your responsibilities include supporting practical and technical issue resolution, maintaining strong relationships with delivery partners, and providing clear reporting and recommendations to support effective decision-making.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to nationally significant infrastructure and energy transition projects, including major nuclear programmes, in a fast-paced and evolving environment where adaptability to uncertainty and change is essential.

Role Accountabilities
- Lead and support delivery of defined construction packages, site areas, or interfaces ensuring alignment with scope, programme, cost, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide visible leadership across contractors, delivery partners, and multidisciplinary teams, setting clear expectations for collaboration and accountability.
- Coordinate construction delivery activities, ensuring works are planned, sequenced, monitored, and progressed in line with governance and priorities.
- Identify and resolve delivery constraints, interface issues, and risks with clear recording and management of actions and escalations.
- Support construction readiness, assurance, and close-out activities, including review of inspection test plans, handover information, and completion documentation.
- Assist in resolving technical queries, non-conformances, change items, and field engineering issues.
- Support management of construction delivery performance against scope, programme, cost, quality, and productivity expectations.
- Collaborate with commercial and project controls teams on progress reporting, forecasting, and contract management activities.
- Act as a key interface between construction delivery and other project functions, maintaining effective communication and stakeholder relationships.
- Contribute to team development through coaching, knowledge sharing, and promoting a culture of safe execution, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support the development of scalable construction delivery capability within the Nuclear business to strengthen Arcadis’ position in major nuclear and infrastructure programmes.

Requirements

Experience
- Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent experience in construction management, engineering, project management, or related discipline.
- Proven experience in construction delivery, management, project management, or site coordination within complex infrastructure, energy, engineering, or regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, logistics, site coordination, short-term planning, and safe systems of work.
- Working knowledge of CDM Regulations, construction safety management, and safe delivery in complex projects.
- Experience collaborating with contractors, subcontractors, delivery partners, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve safety, quality, programme, and delivery objectives.
- Ability to coordinate construction packages, site areas, or technical interfaces across construction, engineering, commercial, project controls, health & safety, and quality teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including risk identification, escalation, and clear reporting.
- Familiarity with project governance, change control, performance reporting, and cost or schedule management.
- Awareness of contract and commercial management activities, preferably under NEC ECC or similar construction contracts.
- Eligible to complete BPSS and work at OFFICIAL level, with existing UKSV Security Clearance or willingness and eligibility to obtain clearance.

About You
You are a proactive and adaptable professional comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments with ambiguity and change. You demonstrate strong leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to safe, compliant, and reliable construction delivery.
