About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Children’s Commissioning Team as a key member supporting Care Leavers to maintain their rent accounts and sustain tenancies before progressing to independent living. This new role focuses on maximising income for internal budgets while working with stakeholders to develop and implement processes that prevent Care Leavers from accruing rent arrears or council tax debts. You will drive value for money through strategic planning, commissioning, and service redesign, collaborating closely with Finance Teams, internal Revenue and Benefits services, and external providers.

About the Team
The Children’s Commissioning Team works closely with a range of internal Council Teams, external service providers, and partners across Health, Social Care, and Education systems. The team leads on strategic Council priorities for Children and Young People and includes Commissioners, Contracts Officers, Placement and Quality Assurance Officers. The team’s aim is to support Children and Young People to achieve their best outcomes while ensuring value for money from commissioned services. This role reports directly to the Head of Commissioning and involves attending and reporting to various Board meetings.
