About the Role
Join a growing, forward-thinking Specialist Practice and Advice team within the London Borough of Hounslow. The Specialist Practice & Advice Service is expanding and evolving, offering an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly developing multi-disciplinary team including Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Educational Psychologists, Portage, Early Years practitioners, and specialist teachers. This integrated service focuses on inclusive practice and early intervention beyond traditional Speech and Language Therapy models.

As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will provide and coordinate specialist advice, consultation, and support to ensure children and young people with speech, language, and communication needs are fully included and supported. You will develop and use innovative ways of working across universal, targeted, and specialist levels, including supporting the delivery of the Department for Education's “Experts at Hand” initiative.

You will work across a wide range of ages and settings including early years, primary, and secondary schools, collaborating closely with schools and settings to develop early intervention approaches. Your role will include assessment, consultation, strategic work, delivering training, modelling and coaching to upskill the wider workforce, building strong partnerships with families, schools, and multi-agency colleagues, and supporting and supervising other team members.

This role is ideal for someone who has completed their newly qualified competencies and is interested in further development and working in innovative ways. The service is committed to keeping the voice of children and young people at the centre of all work.

What we offer:
- A supportive and ambitious environment with regular supervision from a Speech and Language Therapist
- Professional development opportunities including training, coaching, and learning from a multi-disciplinary team
- Support to develop clinical interests aligned with service needs
- Opportunities to shape the future of practice and contribute to early intervention and systemic work
- Collaboration within a truly integrated system influencing education, health, and care outcomes
- Hybrid working with high autonomy and flexibility
- Strong culture of evidence-informed and reflective practice
