About the Role
We are seeking a Primary Class Teacher for a maternity cover position at St Paul’s CE Primary School, a split-site, two-form Church of England school in central Brentford. The school is committed to high standards of teaching and learning, offering motivated and well-behaved children alongside supportive and experienced colleagues. The school has two well-kept sites with excellent resources.

This is a temporary contract expected to run from 30th November 2026 to 28th June 2027, although the duration is uncertain and may be terminated earlier by either party in accordance with the notice period. The successful candidate will teach Year 2 and contribute to the school’s positive and nurturing environment.

Experience
Experience teaching primary-aged children, preferably Year 2, is desirable. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.

You will be motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work effectively within a supportive team environment. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is essential. You will actively follow the school’s Child Protection Policy and Safeguarding procedures in line with current statutory guidance.

Qualifications
You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and meet the requirements for working with children, including satisfactory references, enhanced DBS, and barred list checks. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, so all relevant convictions and cautions must be declared as required by law.
