About the Role
Join a growing, forward-thinking Specialist Practice and Advice team within the London Borough of Hounslow. This newly developing multi-disciplinary service brings together Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists, Portage, Early Years practitioners, and specialist teachers to deliver inclusive practice and early intervention beyond traditional Occupational Therapy models.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide and co-ordinate specialist advice, consultation, and support to ensure children and young people are fully included and supported. You will develop innovative ways of working across universal, targeted, and specialist levels, including supporting the delivery of the Department for Education's “Experts at Hand” initiative.

The role involves working across a wide range of ages and settings including early years, primary, and secondary schools. You will work closely with schools to develop early intervention approaches, contribute to assessment and strategic work, deliver training and coaching to up-skill the wider workforce, and build strong partnerships with families, schools, and multi-agency colleagues.

Opportunities to support and supervise other team members and lead on projects within the team are available. This role plays a key part in improving outcomes for children and young people in Hounslow, with a strong commitment to keeping their voices central to all work.

The service offers a supportive and ambitious environment with regular supervision, professional development opportunities including training and coaching, and support to develop clinical interests aligned with service needs.

Benefits include hybrid working with high autonomy and flexibility, strong CPD and team support, and pathways into supervision and leadership roles. You will be part of a rapidly developing, innovative service model that works in a truly integrated system across education, health, and care.
